La revue de presse du Grand BI Semaine du 23 au 29 août 2010.

L’actualité retient son souffle. Alors qu’HP et Dell s’affrontent depuis quelques jours à coup d’OPA et de contre OPA pour prendre le contrôle d’un (relativement) obscur éditeurs de solution de stockage, 3PAR, le petit monde de la BI fait figure de havre de paix. Pas d’acquisition majeure si ce n’est l’acquisition de Quantix par IDBS signalée par Philippe Nieuwbourg de Decideo.fr

J’ai donc retenu quelques billets d’expert publiés par BeyeNetwork, un bref article sur Microstrategy publié sur les blog du BBBT, enfin un petit cas d’entreprise : celui du CERN qui met en oeuvre CouDB, donc une base NoSQL pour donner accès aux chercheurs les 10 Po de données que va délivrer le LHC chaque année… à moins qu’il nous fasse disparaitre dans un trou noir avant…

We in the BI world like to throw around the adjectives: Agile! Collaborative! Integrated! On Demand! Real Time! Self Service! Visual! I’m party to this practice myself.
